    Join the Community Character Coalition and the Elk Grove Park District in celebrating the core of community strength in our community - Good Character! This free celebration will be Friday, September 26 beginning at 5pm at the Park District Pavilion multipurpose gym. Food will be provided by Tasty Catering and performance by pH Productions.

  • Teen Trip to Great America

    Have some scary fun on your day off of school! Join us with your friends at this years Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America. Fee includes admission, transportation and supervision. Don't forget to bring money for lunch and dinner. We'll be there for most of the day!

  • Hogwarts Express

    You've been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Please meet us on Platform 9 3/4 at the Itasca Train Station on Saturday, October 4 at 11am, where students and their guests will go on a magical journey. On this trip, students will be sorted in houses, taught magical spells, have their fortunes told, and dine on some disgustingly yummy snacks.

  • Civil War Demonstration

    Visit Union Army re-enactors and learn about life during the Civil War on Saturday, October 11! The re-enactors will be on Museum grounds from 1 - 5pm. At 2pm & 4pm , Jon Austin will demonstrate the embalming process in a 19th century medical lecture using a re-enactor corpse as a visual aid. Seating is limited for the medical demonstrations, therefore registration is required. Please register for only once, the medical demos are the same.

    Friday, October 17 is a not so scary night of aqua ghosts and Frankenstein floats! Visit multiple trick-or-treat game stations around the Lagoon in the Pavilion Aquatics Center for the chance to earn Halloween prizes! Make and take home your own 3D Haunted House and have time to open swim and use the slide with your family. Adults must register with children.

  • Halloween Fest

    Join us in costume Friday, October 24 for a not-so-scary haunted house, hayrides, crafts, games, prizes for children, food, music, pumpkin decorating and a costume parade & contest. Tickets are limited and early bird sales are highly encouraged! Admission includes pumpkin, hayride, crafts, hot dog and prizes for children. Get your tickets today!

    A portion of admission fees benefit the Elk Grove Park Foundation's Scholarship Program.

  • Ambassadors Performance

    The Ambassadors will dazzle and entertain live Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 pm with a program of oldies, standard and novelty songs and dance from their musical repertoire. Show support for this group of 25+ enthusiastic singers anxious to strut their stuff, bring back memories and start your toes tapping in an all ages show that's sure to put song in your heart and a smile on your face. Purchase tickets in advance at the Pavilion or Hattendorf customer service desk.

  • Big Band Live Music Night

    Join us for a lively, entertaining evening at Garden Terrace Banquets during Big Band Live Music Nights! Listen to Switch Time Jazz group perform fun, upbeat jazz and move to the music on the dance floor! The ambiance of the banquet room is fantastic with a cash bar and delicious treats. Big Band Live Music Nights are held every first Thursday of the month from 7-9pm. If you love jazz, dancing or listening to the music of a talented band; you are sure to enjoy this entertaining evening.

    Teens in grades 6-8 enjoy an entertaining night DJ music, dancing, basketball, contests, and more! Discounted passes for the dance are available and must be purchased in advance.

  • Open Gym Pickleball

    Now offering Pickleball as a part of Open Gym! Pickleball combines tennis, badminton and ping pong for a fun game. Played on a low-net badminton court, Pickleball is played with a perforated plastic baseball similar to a whiffleball and composite paddles. The game is EASY for beginners to learn and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Currently running through November! Free for Pavilion Fitness members.
