    Purchase great gifts for Mom from our vendors and crafters for Mother’s Day at the Spring Fling in Garden Terrace Banquets. On Saturday, May 2 from 9am to 3pm, over 30 participating vendors will showcase their inventories of unique, quality goods from Michigan cherries, hand-crafted items, novelty items, essential oils and much more. Free admission.

    Immerse yourself in the history of Elk Grove’s connection to the Harper Festival Chorus with a short curator’s presentation at the Museum, audio stories and a trip to the Harper Festival Chorus Spring Concert at Harper College on May 3. All ages.

  • Spring Celebration and Plant Sale

    Celebrate Spring at the Elk Grove Historical Museum with the Spring Celebration and Plant Sale on Saturday, May 16. From 10am to 3pm visit the Historical Museum to purchase the latest additions for your home garden by browsing annuals, perennials, Mike’s Dahlia’s, vegetables, garden decorations and members’ plants and dig ups. Free admission.

  • Bike with the Mayor

    Saturday, May 23rd from 2 - 5pm
    Join Mayor Johnson and The Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove (FCEG) on a leisurely bike ride around the Village.
    The 5 mile route starts and ends at the Museum. Helmet fittings, bike safety checks, refreshments, crafts, and games included. Helmets required. All ages are welcome. 

    Schedule: 2 - 3pm Registration & Safety Checks, 3 - 4pm Bike Ride, 4 - 5pm Refreshments, crafts and games

    Discover Elk Grove’s rich musical history and celebrate diverse musicians and educators through the sounds of jazz, rock, classical, folk and opera. This exhibit is sure to strike a chord with all ages using original artifacts, bold images, and audio. Reflect on what music means to you and share your own musical memories as part of your exhibit experience. Free admission. Sponsored by Jarosch Bakery. On display at the Elk Grove Historical Museum from March 6 – August 29

  • Indoor Play at JnJ!

    Are your children feeling cooped up with the Winter blahs? Bring them to Jumps n Jiggles for a day of play! JnJ is an indoor playground for children ages 8 and younger featuring a maze of tunnels, a spiral slide, the kiddy hawk helicopter, the bouncing yo-yo ball, a cobra copter, and the flying gyro copter. Admission also includes unlimited rides on the Pavilion Carousel, a 28 foot high indoor carousel. Open play hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 2pm.

  • Big Band Live Music Night

    Join us for a lively evening at Garden Terrace Banquets during Big Band Live Music Nights as Switch Time Jazz group performs fun, upbeat jazz that will make you want to move to the music on the dance floor. The ambiance of the banquet room is fantastic with entertainment, dancing, music, a talented band and delicious treats from Jarosch Bakery. BBLMNs are held every first Thursday from 7-9pm.

    Teens in grades 6-8 enjoy an entertaining night DJ music, dancing, basketball, contests, and more! Discounted passes for the dance are available and must be purchased in advance.
