• Civil War Demonstration

    Visit Union Army re-enactors and learn about life during the Civil War on Saturday, October 11! The re-enactors will be on Museum grounds from 1 - 5pm. At 2pm & 4pm , Jon Austin will demonstrate the embalming process in a 19th century medical lecture using a re-enactor corpse as a visual aid. Seating is limited for the medical demonstrations, therefore registration is required. Please register for only once, the medical demos are the same.

    Friday, October 17 is a not so scary night of aqua ghosts and Frankenstein floats! Visit multiple trick-or-treat game stations around the Lagoon in the Pavilion Aquatics Center for the chance to earn Halloween prizes! Make and take home your own 3D Haunted House and have time to open swim and use the slide with your family. Adults must register with children.

    Check out the 31st annual Juried Art Show at the Elk Grove Public Library! Entries for the Juried Art Show were judged in early September and the exhibit and it's winners opens to the public for viewing on October 18 & 19. Don't miss it!

  • Halloween Fest

    Join us in costume Friday, October 24 for a not-so-scary haunted house, hayrides, crafts, games, prizes for children, food, music, pumpkin decorating and a costume parade & contest. Tickets are limited and early bird sales are highly encouraged! Admission includes pumpkin, hayride, crafts, hot dog and prizes for children. Get your tickets today!

  • Doggy Trick or Treat

    On Saturday, October 25 dress up your dog in their Halloween best and join us for a morning of fun. All dogs will have an opportunity to perform tricks to win treats throughout the event. Dogs and their owners will be receive a picture and a giveaway. The best feature is Park District's new agility course that will be available at the event, along with several other fun stations! All dogs must be leashed at all times.

    Adapted from T.H. White's novel The Once and Future King, Camelot is a valiant Broadway musical that will transport audiences to the magical and mythical days of medieval England. The legendary characters King Arthur, Queen Guenevere, Sir Lancelot and Merlyn come alive in this exciting tale of love and chivalry. The classic production features a lush, romantic score including 'If Ever I Would Leave You,' 'Camelot,' 'How to Handle a Woman,' and 'Follow Me.' WINNER OF 4 TONY AWARDS.

  • Halloween at Jumps n' Jiggles

    Spend your Halloween morning, Friday, October 31 at the Carousel and Jumps n' Jiggles! Children will get to ride the Carousel, make a scary craft, and crawl through the JnJ tunnels. Each child will leave with a special Halloween treat. Children may wear a costume, but it should be a costume they can easily run around and play in.

    Let the good times roll while supporting a worthy cause with Bunco! Saturday, November 15 at 7pm, join us for a fun evening of Bunco, raffles, prizes and more! Bunco is easy to learn. There will be instruction for new players before starting. Hors d'oeuvres, a dessert buffet, coffee bar and a cash bar will be available. $25 for single players and $50 per team of two.   • Native American Day

    Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the museum and explore the various tribes who lived in Illinois. Saturday, November 1 at the Elk Grove Historical Museum, play Native American games, create a beaded necklace and a cornhusk doll. Weather permitting, view atlatl throwing and fire-making demonstrations. No registration required. Minimal fee for crafts. General admission is free.

  • Daylight Recycling

    While you are setting your clocks back for daylight savings time, don't forget to change your batteries on your alarm clock, smoke and CO detectors!

    During this weekend on Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2 the Park District will be accepting old household batteries and CFL lightbulbs for recycling at the Pavilion. Just drop them in the collection bins in the lobby.

  • Ambassadors Performance

    The Ambassadors will dazzle and entertain live Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 pm with a program of oldies, standard and novelty songs and dance from their musical repertoire. Show support for this group of 25+ enthusiastic singers anxious to strut their stuff, bring back memories and start your toes tapping in an all ages show that's sure to put song in your heart and a smile on your face.     Peddle with a purpose as you support the Elk Grove Park Foundation Scholarship Program. One hour of your time on Sat., Dec 13 between the hours of 7am and 2pm is all it takes.  Ride as an individual or gather a team of up to 4 and ride together! Select your own time slot. Gather donations in advance or from patrons in the Pavilion that day. It's not about how many miles you ride or how much you sweat, it's using your talents to help those less fortunate.   • Big Band Live Music Night

    Join us for a lively, entertaining evening at Garden Terrace Banquets during Big Band Live Music Nights! Listen to Switch Time Jazz group perform fun, upbeat jazz and move to the music on the dance floor! The ambiance of the banquet room is fantastic with a cash bar and delicious treats. Big Band Live Music Nights are held every first Thursday of the month from 7-9pm. If you love jazz, dancing or listening to the music of a talented band; you are sure to enjoy this entertaining evening.

  • Open Gym Pickleball

    Now offering Pickleball as a part of Open Gym! Pickleball combines tennis, badminton and ping pong for a fun game. Played on a low-net badminton court, Pickleball is played with a perforated plastic baseball similar to a whiffleball and composite paddles. The game is EASY for beginners to learn and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Currently running through November! Free for Pavilion Fitness members.
