• Touch A Truck

    Join us for our annual Touch a Truck event on Saturday, Sept 6. Located in the Pirates' Cove parking lot from 10am to noon, children have a great opportunity to touch, feel, and climb through, in and out of each every truck available. Vehicles include: fire trucks, police cars, garbage trucks, and many others. Don't forget your camera! Stop by Pirates' Cove for even more fun after Touch a Truck!

  • Open Gym Pickleball

    Now offering Pickleball as a part of Open Gym! Pickleball combines tennis, badminton and ping pong for a fun game. Played on a low-net badminton court, Pickleball is played with a perforated plastic baseball similar to a whiffleball and composite paddles. The game is EASY for beginners to learn and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Currently running through November! Free for Pavilion Fitness members.

  • Rummage Sale

    When you do Fall house cleaning, don't forget your friendly neighborhood Rummage Sale on September 12 & 13 from 9am to 2pm at the Adult Center. Concessions will be available.
    Donations will be accepted September 2 - 9 only. At that time we will accept clean, usable clothing, household items and small furniture. Unattended items left outside will be discarded.
    Our Center relies on this event as a fundraiser to support our programs. We appreciate the community's support and hope to see you there!

  • Pioneer Day

    Join us Sunday, September 14 from 1 - 5pm for Pioneer Day on the Historical Museum grounds. This historic fun-filled afternoon features candle-making demonstrations, historical crafts and games, a petting zoo, re-enactments and various other historic demonstrations. Admission is free. Visitors can also stuff and take home a scarecrow (additional fee), tour the Farmhouse and view work by local artists in the barn.

  • Camp Out at Pirates' Cove

    Camp out with your family at Pirates' Cove for the night on Friday, September 19! Check in starts at 6:30pm on Friday night and check out is at 8am on Saturday morning. Register today, sites are booking fast and are limited! Proceeds benefit the Elk Grove Park Foundation Scholarship Fund.

  • Outdoor Fitness Challenges

    Join us for two outdoor challenges on August 16 and September 20 at two favorite Elk Grove Parks; Fountain Square and Roosevelt Park. We’ll show you how these parks have everything you need for a great workout and to have fun outdoors.  Directly following the Fountain Square Challenge we are offering a bonus 30 minute "Yoga for Athletes" class to demonstrate the benefits that Yoga can offer directly following a workout. Inclement weather will result in cancellation.

  • Four Winds Casino Trip

    The Four Winds Casino trip is for individuals 21 years of age and above. The bus leaves from the Pavilion South Parking lot at 9:30 AM and returns at 5:30 PM. You will have approximately four hours of time to spend in the Casino. Includes a $15.00 instant slot credit and up to $10.00 food credit. All bus passengers MUST have a valid Drivers' License or state photo ID to ride the bus and receive the bus package ($15 instant slot credit and up to $10 food credit)

    Join the Community Character Coalition and the Elk Grove Park District in celebrating the core of community strength in our community - Good Character! This free celebration will be Friday, September 26 beginning at 5pm at the Park District Pavilion multipurpose gym. Food will be provided by Tasty Catering and performance by pH Productions.

  • Big Band Live Music Night

    Join us for a lively, entertaining evening at Garden Terrace Banquets during Big Band Live Music Nights! Listen to Switch Time Jazz group perform fun, upbeat jazz and move to the music on the dance floor! The ambiance of the banquet room is fantastic with a cash bar and delicious treats. Big Band Live Music Nights are held every first Thursday of the month from 7-9pm. If you love jazz, dancing or listening to the music of a talented band; you are sure to enjoy this entertaining evening.

    Teens in grades 6-8 enjoy an entertaining night DJ music, dancing, basketball, contests, and more! Discounted passes for the dance are available and must be purchased in advance.

  • Ambassadors Performance

    The Ambassadors will dazzle and entertain live Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 pm with a program of oldies, standard and novelty songs and dance from their musical repertoire. Show support for this group of 25+ enthusiastic singers anxious to strut their stuff, bring back memories and start your toes tapping in an all ages show that's sure to put song in your heart and a smile on your face. Purchase tickets in advance at the Pavilion or Hattendorf customer service desk.
