Policies

Gym Etiquette

Allow other members to concentrate on their workouts.

  • Please do not distract members during their work-outs.
  • Avoid excessive or loud chatter, singing, yelling, or using inappropriate language.
  • If you must socialize, please find another area, such as the lobby of the Pavilion.

Refrain from using cell phones while working out; it is distracting to others.

  • Reminder:  cell phone usage is prohibited in the locker rooms.

Allow other members to utilize equipment, weights, and lap lanes, especially between sets.

For safety reasons, use the equipment properly and put away when finished.

  • Do not bang weight stacks on machines or drop dumbbells.
  • It is not the attendants or other members responsibility to put away your equipment.
  • Last one using the equipment is responsible for putting it back to its designated place, not necessarily where someone that was using it before you had left it.
  • Remove all weights, storing them by like weight (ex: 45lb, 35lb, 25lb, 10lb, 5lb, 2.5lb).
  • DO NOT mix plates on same storage bar.
  • Dumbbells placed on appropriate and corresponding rack.
  • Return benches, mats and other equipment to its designated area.
  • Certain cable attachments may remain on machines if they are commonly used by others.

When finished with the equipment, wipe away sweat or dirt with appropriate sanitation wipes located throughout the fitness center.

Return used towels to proper bins located at the service desk and in each locker room.

  • DO NOT leave towels lying around the locker rooms or fitness floor.

For sanitation purposes, towels are used to shower or wipe away sweat only. Refrain from using them as a tissue to clear your sinuses, wipe off make-up, etc.

Purchase a 5 session personal training package within July and August, lose 5 pounds within a 5 week time frame and earn $50 fitness bucks to use towards:  a 1 hour training sessions, a 1 hour massage, a 1 hour nutrition counseling session, a yoga/pilates class pass or a group exercise class pass. This is a great way to celebrate your success!
