The theater program at the Elk Grove Park District is best known for its annual winter production. Shows take place every March and are comprised of children 7 - 18 years old. Every production is staffed by professionals from the theater world who bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to each show. Past shows include Aladdin Jr., Seussical Jr., Willy Wonka Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., High School Musical Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Annie Jr., Into the Woods Jr., Beauty & the Beast Jr., The Lion King Jr., Shrek the Musical and Peter Pan Jr.

Spotlight Theatre of the Elk Grove Park District holds musical theatre auditions open to ages 7 through 18. No prior experience is necessary, just a love to perform! Participants should be prepared to sing, dance, read and have a great experience with other performers on the stage.

Arts/Special Events Manager (Producer)
Ashley has worked in multiple positions at the Elk Grove Park District and most recently as the Arts/Special Events Manager. Ashley has previously produced Annie Jr., Mulan Jr. and Aladdin Jr. with the Elk Grove Park District's Theatre Camp and Peter Pan Jr. with the Winter Theatre Program. Ashley is very excited for another fun filled winter of Theatre!
Jacque Lueken is ecstatic to be a part of the Elk Grove Park District Art Centre staff! She received her BFA in Acting from Syracuse University and, upon graduation, moved to Chicago to work with Steppenwolf Theatre Co. as the Assistant Coordinator for their summer acting intensive, The School at Steppenwolf. Since moving to Chicago, Jacque has directed and taught with numerous companies including CCPA at Roosevelt University, American Theatre Company and After School Matters. Jacque served as a Mentor with Redmoon Theatre Company's Dramagirls Program, is a founding Collective Member of Ag47, the Anchor Artist for Teaching Lab Collaborations at The University of Chicago, and is a Director in the summer at Long Lake Camp for the Arts directing over 30 productions.

Amy is thrilled to be a part of the Elk Grove Park District's Theatre Program. Amy has been with the District for 15 years. Amy graduated from Millikin University with a B.A. in Theatre. While directing the Elk Grove Park District's summer theatre camps and assisting with productions, Amy found her dream job teaching ballroom dance with Arthur Murray. She has been teaching and competing as a professional dancer for 9 years and manages the Oakbrook Studio.
