The theatre program at the Elk Grove Park District is best known for its Spotlight Theater productions. Cast members are children ranging in age 7 years old to Adult. Every production is staffed by professionals from the theatre world who bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to each show. Past shows include Aladdin Jr., Seussical Jr., Willy Wonka Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., High School Musical Jr., The Little Mermaid Jr., Annie Jr., Into the Woods Jr., Beauty & the Beast Jr., The Lion King Jr., Shrek the Musical , Peter Pan Jr., Descendants, The Wizard of Oz and Matilda Jr..

Audition Materials

Please be prepared to dance, sing a 32 measure selection of your choosing and perform a 1-2 minute monolouge. Participants must register to audition! Auditions are held at the Rainbow Falls Community Center at 200 Rev. Morrison Blvd., EGV.

Show Dates

Live performances are held on stage at Prairie Lakes Theater in Des Plaines.

Friday, March 22 at 7pm; Saturday, March 23 at 2pm & 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.

 


Advertise in Our Playbill

Promote your business and show your support for our children! Purchase an ad space in the playbill for the upcoming performance. Your advertisements will reach up 1200 people, many of which are our local residents with children. All proceeds go to our arts and theatre programs.

Volunteers Welcome

Putting on a theatre show is a big deal! We welcome extra sets of hands and talents ages 10 and older who are interested in helping out in all sorts of theatre functions that include: costuming, set building, props, stage hands, guest seating and more! To volunteer to help out with our performances or for more information about the program, call (847) 690-1109.
