Perspectives: The Growth of Elk Grove
Discover how Elk Grove transformed in the areas of education, social life, business, and resident demographics to become the Elk Grove Village we know today. Listen to perspectives from past and present residents through audio clips. Add your voice to the exhibit as you relate to the various topics. A number of photographs and original artifacts will be displayed with an array of hands-on components to connect visitors to the history of this area. This recurring exhibit will be on view each year from late summer through the winter. Exhibit support provided by the Elk Grove Historical Society.
Putting Down Roots: German Immigration and the Promise of Elk Grove Township

Experience history through a new lens by viewing a brand new collection of paintings created by members of the Elk Grove Village Artist’s Association. Inspired by historic photographs from the Museum’s own collection, these pieces of art will add new perspective to visitors’ views of Elk Grove’s past, and hopefully create a spark of creativity among viewers of the exhibition.
