Perspectives: The Growth of Elk Grove

Discover how Elk Grove transformed in the areas of education, social life, business, and resident demographics to become the Elk Grove Village we know today. Listen to perspectives from past and present residents through audio clips. Add your voice to the exhibit as you relate to the various topics. A number of photographs and original artifacts will be displayed with an array of hands-on components to connect visitors to the history of this area. This recurring exhibit will be on view each year from late summer through the winter. Exhibit support provided by the Elk Grove Historical Society.

The Elk Grove Historical Museum’s new exhibit, “Coming Together, Collaboration, Connection, and Community Spirit in Elk Grove Village”, highlights a selection of the countless volunteer and charitable organizations which have shaped the Village since its incorporation in 1956. See photos of community spirit in action, and get inspired with ways we can each serve our own communities today.
