Amelia Deering is proud and excited to be joining the Elk Grove Historical Museum Team! Having graduated in 2023 with her Masters in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, she is happy to be back in the Chicagoland area where she grew up and where she has previously worked with the St. Charles History Museum and the Lombard Historical Society. Amelia is committed to creating a vibrant, inclusive and innovative Museum community, and would love to hear your ideas and suggestions by phone or email.

Michael has an Associate in Arts degree from Moraine Valley Community College and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Governors State University. He has 26 years experience working in museums in various capacities including designing programs, working with collections, and directing the facility. He has worked for the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Chicago Academy of Sciences, Ridge Historical Society, and the Isle a la Cache Museum. He started working for the Elk Grove Historical Museum in 2008 but is also a re-enactor and also works as an archivist for the Itasca Public Library.
